rubysneakers: mir777: I need new glasses.  What to do? http://www.39dollarglasses.com/ or http://zennioptical.com/cart/home.php unfortunately I think my wonky prescription requires a personal visit.

Hey Sussy!
katespencer: You should really start a blog dedicated solely to your craft projects, so I wouldn’t have to scroll through 17 pages of your Tumblr only to discover that you never posted pictures of the shelves you made when you moved to L.A. Plus, I really enjoy your craft projects. Don’t you guys agree with me? Yes!

“There’s one thing people have to understand: Comics are not happy clowns. They...”
– Tracy Morgan (from his new book ‘I Am The New Black) (via benzado) I hate that so many of my friends are reblogging this.  Sure this is true of some comics, maybe even most comics, but to say “all of them” is inaccurate.  Not every comic is trying to fill a void.  Some are just trying to spread the...

Thoughts On The Curtis Gwinn Practice Session
frankhejl: Curtis Gwinn has been a big part of my UCB and comedy “career” (I added quotations because I don’t really have much of a career just yet). The man has helped me out in so many ways, in and outside of UCB. I owe a LOT to Curtis Gwinn. I will miss the fuck out of that guy when he moves to L.A. You treat him well, L.A.! You hear?! totallymorgan: I’m going to write this and attempt...

No one likes a pity party.
patbaer: It’s easy to feel shitty. It’s hard sometimes to remember that you’re living in the greatest city in the world and you’ve got great people to share your life with. I’ve got no money, no lady, no career… it’d be easy to cry myself to sleep. But fuck that! I’ve got good friends and a roof over my head. My “day job” puts me in direct contact with the coolest and funniest people I’ve...

NYT: Shtick With a Thousand Lives →
zachlinder: A great piece from last Sunday’s Times.  I credit Reiner & Brooks’ 2000-Year-Old Man performances with influencing the majority of my sense of humor.  If you’re a comedy nerd, but you’ve never heard these, you owe it to yourself to get your hands on a copy.  This stuff was truly groundbreaking for improvisation and comedy overall. Classic in every sense of the word.

Mamihlapinatapai →
dunford: bestofwikipedia: Mamihlapinatapai is a word from the Yaghan language of Tierra del Fuego, listed in The Guinness Book of World Records as the “most succinct word”, and is considered one of the hardest words to translate. It describes “a look shared by two people with each wishing that the other will initiate something that both desire but which neither one wants to start.” (via...

benzado: On a forum for computer programming questions. Although I’m not a programmer, I can say that this reminded me of the first computer I ever used - the Commodore PET.   I remember playing math games in all their monochrome glory.

rubysneakers: frakintosh: With the exception of Emo Phillips, I completely agree. Remember Jeff Dunham on 30 Rock? Completely cringeworthy. We don’t even want to talk about the rest of them. Accurate?  Sure.  Relevant?  Not that much.  I can’t remember the last time I saw Emo Phillips anywhere… I dunno, I tend to find disparagement such an exhausting venture, despite doing it on occasion. ...
